There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Beşiktaş are showing interest in Chelsea forward Raheem Sterling.
The former Manchester City man is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge and has also recently been linked with Fulham. Fotospor report on a Beşiktaş pursuit for the Chelsea player as Ole Gunnar Solskjær looks to strengthen in wide attacking areas.
It’s claimed Sterling is on their wish list, along with Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho. The Black Eagles would be looking to sign both forwards and play them on either wing.
However, the Super Lig side will need to wait for the outcome of transfer talks between Fulham and Chelsea. The Craven Cottage club are said to be looking to loan Sterling for the season following his loan at Arsenal.
Chelsea are keen to sell to Beşiktaş as it would mean they would get a small fee for the 30-year-old, but he reportedly wants to remain in London.
Sterling made 28 appearances for Arsenal last season, scoring just one goal. He’s contracted to Chelsea June 2027.
