Ruben Amorim is urging Man United to go all in for Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga after their failed chase for Brighton’s Carlos Baleba.
Madrid midfielder Camavinga on United radar
With the transfer window closing fast, Manchester United are scrambling for a midfield addition. Meanwhile, Brighton have shut down talks for Carlos Baleba. Additionaly, Crystal Palace also refused to part with Adam Wharton. As per Fichajes, Man Utd have turned their attention to **Real Madrid**’s Eduardo Camavinga.
News from Spain hint the Old Trafford club is looking to weigh up a bid around €80m. The bid will bring it in line with the valuation of Los Blancos. Camavinga, who is 22, is loved by Ruben Amorim. The head coach sees the Frenchman as full of energy, defensive steel and a quick football brain.
The midfielder has had his injury woes in the past year losing out on games. Though he made a comeback in season opener against Osasuna. However, even after losing time, Xabi Alonso still thinks he is a key player within Madrid’s squad. That means United may have to break the bank to lure him away from the Spanish giants.

Big money gamble or smart move?
The Red Devils have already splashed over £200m on new faces this summer. But, questions remain over whether they can afford another big signing. Camavinga would bring UCL experience and much-needed composure in midfield.
The failed chase for Baleba has only added urgency. Amorim is stressing the need for a proven player rather than another developing talent. A deal at £69m would not be cheap, and Madrid’s stance shows they won’t budge easily.
Still, United’s midfield struggles suggest that bringing in someone of Camavinga’s quality could be the missing spark. It may come down to whether the club is willing to roll the dice before the window slams shut.
Author’s Opinion
Bringing in Camavinga would be a bold statement from Man Utd. But. it is also a risky one given his injury record. If he stays fit, he has the tools to instantly change their midfield. For a club intent on competing at the higher end of the table again, it seems worth a gamble.
