Green Bay Packers: Cooper Kupp Sets 1 Thing Straight Before Preseason Finale vs. Jordan Love’s…

The Seattle Seahawks have joint practices and an NFL preseason game against the Green Bay Packers coming up. Sehawks head coach Mike Macdonald has already said that the starters are unlikely to see much action in the preseason finale on Saturday at Lambeau Field, but that doesn’t mean Cooper Kupp and the ones are not going to be busy in Green Bay.

The joint practices will have the Seahawks starters, including wide receiver Cooper Kupp, sharing the field with the Packers. And for Kupp, it is a chance to further get himself and the team ready against other types of defenses.

After playing his first eight seasons in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams, Kupps signed a three-year, $45 million contract with the Seahawks.

Kupp appeared to note that joint practices have a different feel in terms of competitiveness in contrast to a real game, like in a preseason contest.

“It’s just an opportunity to see different techniques, different coverages,” said Kupp (h/t Ari Horton of the Seahawks’ website) ahead of the joint practices with the Packers in Green Bay.

“Obviously the competitiveness is just different. I don’t want to say it’s more or less than what you’re doing each and every day,” added the former Super Bowl Most Valuable Player.

Still, Kupp makes it clear that his mindset, no matter the setting, is always the same.

“I’ve only done things one way in my entire career, so I’m not saying it’s better or worse than [how] anyone else does it, but I do enjoy being able to take advantage of those joint practice days though and seeing some different people.”

Kupp doesn’t have much experience against the Packers in his career, but in two games versus Green Bay, he has 144 receiving yards on nine catches and 17 targets.
