Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea are in direct talks over a loan move for defender Aaron Anselmino.
That’s according to [journalist Patrick Berger](https://x.com/berger_pj/status/1958478084224557127) and [Sky Germany](https://sport.sky.de/fussball/artikel/verpflichtet-der-bvb-chukwuemeka-und-anselmino-vom-fc-chelsea/13415620/34108), who report that Chelsea have proposed a double deal including Carney Chukwuemeka.
According to Berger’s information, Chelsea and Dortmund are in direct contact regarding Anselmino as the German side are targeting a young and talented centre back this summer.
Sky go into more detail, explaining that Dortmund are continuing to seek reinforcements before the end of the transfer window.
Those in charge are increasingly leaning towards adding more defensive players and a door may open for them at Chelsea on that front.
According to their information, Anselmino is a firm topic of conversation for the German side and could find himself included in a deal for Chukwuemeka. In fact, the belief is that Chelsea are offering Dortmund a permanent deal for Chukwuemeka and a loan for Anselmino.
The defender is very much what Dortmund are looking for; a talented young defender who can be developed. Chelsea would be more than happy to see him move to Dortmund and develop there.
Chukwuemeka is also a target after spending last season in Germany but so far Dortmund have so far only offered a loan with an obligation to buy set at €20m. That was rejected but now a double deal involving Anselmino could bring new life to negotiations.
