The Denver Broncos were one of the most surprising teams in the NFL last season.
Bo Nix took the offense further than many expected him to in his rookie campaign, and both sides of the ball outperformed their preseason expectations.
Now that the Broncos have shown what they can do, they have a new outlook heading into the 2025 campaign.
More is expected of them moving forward, and while they play in the AFC West, which has been dominated by the Kansas City Chiefs for the past decade, there’s a real belief that this team can make some noise.
The Broncos made several acquisitions during the offseason to improve their chances, including their signing of safety Talaona Hufanga.
Hufanga was a key piece of the San Francisco 49ers’ defense, and he’s ready to have a similar impact on the Broncos.
Being that he’s a veteran, Hufanga has been around plenty of young players, and he seems to be especially impressed with the rookie cornerback, Jahdae Barron.
“He’s the real deal. Been moving all around the field making a ton of plays. He can really tackle too. That’s huge for a young corner,” Hufanga said via Jordan Schultz.
I asked #Broncos All-Pro S Talanoa Hufanga about 1st-round DB Jahdae Barron:

Barron is gaining the attention of his teammates, which is a great sign for the Broncos’ defense moving forward.
Having a strong secondary in today’s NFL is key, seeing how pass-heavy the league has turned into.
If Barron can provide any value in his rookie campaign, it’s certainly a step in the right direction for an organization that already has a strong defense.
