Defender reaches agreement with Wolves – ‘Impossible’ to reject offer

Earlier today, L’Esportiu de Catalunya reported Wolverhampton Wanderers are willing to meet Girona’s €30m valuation to sign Ladislav Krejčí. Mundo Deportivo stated his exit can help the La Liga side raise funds and get rid of his salary.

Sport now report it’s ‘impossible’ for the Catalan cub to reject the €30m that Wolves want to offer for Krejčí.

The centre-back is Wolves’ main target to improve their defence. It’s claimed these are the key hours in the negotiations between the two clubs, to close the operation as soon as possible.

Vítor Pereira’s side seem to have made progress as the newspaper reports the 26-year-old is ‘very close’ to leaving Girona.

They invested €8m to buy him from Sparta Prague in 2024 and his sale to Wolves would see them make a big profit. At the same time, the defender’s exit will be a loss from a sporting point of view.

Cadena Ser journalist Nil Solà took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to report that these are ‘key hours’ to close Krejčí’s sale to the English club.

He claims the Czech Republic international has an agreement in place with Wolves. Solà adds the Premier League club have tabled a €30m bid and Girona ‘will accept’ it.

Barring any last-minute setbacks, Krejčí’s move to Molineux should go through soon.
