According to an update by reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Rico Lewis has been the subject of interest from Nottingham Forest. The Tricky Trees recently submitted a bid to sign the 20-year-old wide player before Manchester City rejected the proposal. The young full-back is now on the cusp of signing a new contract with Manchester City.
The two parties have finalised an agreement over a five-year contract that will be valid until June 2030. So, the Englishman will not join Nottingham Forest, forcing the Midlands outfit to look elsewhere for a new right-back. That may be the reason for the high-flying Premier League club’s emerging links with Matty Cash.
