German side chasing two Chelsea players

Chelsea travel across the capital to East London to face West Ham United in the Premier League on Friday night.

The Blues drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace in their first match of the season on Sunday, while Graham Potter’s Hammers were beaten 3-0 by Sunderland at The Stadium of Light.

Enzo Maresca will expect to see his side improve when they visit The London Stadium, and the Italian could make changes to his side after watching the likes of Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens struggle at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Pedro and Gittens are among those to have joined Chelsea this summer, along with the likes of Liam Delap and Jorrel Hato.

Several players have also departed Stamford Bridge since the start of the window, and it now appears that two more players could soon depart the club,

Fabrizio Romano claims that German side Borussia Dortmund are interested in Chelsea duo Carney Chukwuemeka and Aaron Anselmino.

It is claimed that the Bundesliga giants are now in advanced talks with the West London side about a permanent deal for Chukwuemeka, who spent last season on loan in with Dortmund.

The Englishman has struggled to establish himself as a regular for the Blues since joining from Aston Villa in 2022, making just 32 appearances across all competitions.

He impressed on loan with Dortmund last term, though, and Romano claims that the Bundesliga side are keen to re-sign the midfielder.

They are also said to be keen on the idea of signing defender Anselmino, 20, who joined Chelsea from Boca Juniors in 2024 but returned to the Argentine club on loan.

Romano claims that Chelsea have informed Dortmund that a loan move for Anselmino will only be allowed to happen if they can first agree a permanent move for Chukwuemeka.
