Liverpool are likely to be the team that dominates headlines as we approach the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
Indeed, the Reds have sanctioned a near £300 million outlay to bolster the squad thus far, with centre-back Giovanni Leoni the latest addition at Anfield.
Arne Slot is in the market for another central defender before the 1 September deadline, and although TBR Football understands Marc Guehi is expected to stay at Crystal Palace as things stand, he could very well leave Selhurst Park.

And of course, Liverpool want to sign Alexander Isak in arguably the most talked-about transfer saga of the summer after Newcastle United rejected a British transfer record offer for the striker.
However, the Reds are not the only side monitoring the situation at St James’ Park, but developments outside the North East now leave Slot unopposed for the Swedish international’s signature.
Arsenal will not rival Liverpool for Alexander Isak
TBR Football exclusively revealed Arsenal have agreed terms with Eberechi Eze, hijacking Tottenham’s move for the England international and securing a replacement for Kai Havertz.
Havertz is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining a knee injury, and with Arsenal’s long-term interest in Isak, there existed the possibility that Mikel Arteta would rival Liverpool for his signature.
Nevertheless, Eze’s impending arrival at the Emirates has quashed those fears, and now the Reds can focus all their attention on the player – Isak has declared his intentions to join Liverpool.

Hugo Ekitike’s arrival earlier this summer had looked to have ended all interest in Isak, but that is far from the case. After sanctioning the departures of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, the Reds are short of options up top.
The upcoming fixture against Newcastle, at St James’ Park, complicates matters, as the growing consensus around football is that Liverpool will not pursue Isak until after the game.
Yoane Wissa move will be decisive for Liverpool signing Isak
As TBR Football exclusively reported, Newcastle’s bid to sign Yoane Wissa will have direct implications on Isak’s potential move to Anfield.
The Magpies are reluctant to allow their star man to leave, even in the event of a British record fee, until a suitable replacement of Champions League quality is through the door.
Furthermore, Newcastle would like to sign two strikers, one to cover the loss of Callum Wilson and another to replace Isak.
Wissa, like Isak, has downed tools at his respective club to force through a transfer, but with Wissa’s and Brentford’s relationship beyond repair, it is likely neither saga will be resolved until the closing days of the transfer window.
