Nottingham Forest suffered a 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the 1991 FA Cup final.
It was actually Nottingham Forest’s first appearance in an FA Cup final since they won the competition in 1959.
Stuart Pearce broke the deadlock with a superb free-kick in the 16th minute before Paul Stewart equalised shortly after half-time.
The tie went to extra time, and unfortunately, Des Walker headed one into his own net, which saw Spurs triumph to a 2-1 victory.
Roy Keane discussed the final on Thursday’s episode of The Overlap and named the one bizarre thing he remembers from the game.

The bizarre thing Roy Keane remembers about Nottingham Forest’s 1991 FA Cup final
Keane started in midfield as a 19-year-old in the FA Cup final having joined from Cobh Ramblers the summer before.
When reminiscing on the monumental occasion, he bizarrely remembers one strange thing from the game.
Gary Neville asked: “If you could pick one thing that you remember from that cup final?”

Keane: “Truthfully sorting the tickets out.”
Ian Wright: “Seriously?”
Keane: “Yep, sorting tickets out really was hard work. That day in particular.”
Nottingham Forest overdue another FA Cup final
1991 was the last time Nottingham Forest were in an FA Cup final, although, they went close last season as they reached the semi-finals.
Forest suffered a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in April, despite having plenty of chances to beat Pep Guardiola’s side.
They will certainly fancy themselves to go one better this year after spending a whopping £172m in transfer fees.
The squad is significantly stronger and well-suited to a tournament, given Nuno’s tactical nous and experience.
It could be a very exciting year for Forest supporters, with European football on the horizon, too.
