Report: Wolves eye up former West Ham star who has ‘everything’ as a new summer addition

Transfer links surrounding Wolves are starting to appear at a fast pace as the Old Gold attempt to add more quality to their squad.

A deal for Girona’s Ladislav Krejčí is reportedly close, which would shore up options in Vitor Pereira’s backline.

Meanwhile, Wolves’ search for a midfielder landed on Marc Casado, and it remains to be seen how this will play out.

Now, it seems that Vitor Pereira has his sights set on another Spanish midfielder, and this one knows what Premier League football is like.

Wolves tracking situation of Carlos Soler as midfielder is set to leave PSG

Wolves are ‘closely monitoring’ the situation of PSG midfielder Carlos Soler, according to a report by L’Equipe.

The French outlet says that Wolves, alongside Brighton, Villarreal and another unnamed club, are all interested in the midfielder.

Villarreal have reportedly approached PSG and are set to return for talks this week to sign the Spanish international.

Carlos Soler spent last season on loan at West Ham and understands the intensity of English football, which gives him an added bonus as a signing for Wolves if a deal comes to fruition.

MORE WOLVES STORIES

However, it does seem like Villarreal are leading the chase at present, so fans will have to wait and see how this one plays out.

Luis Enrique once said Carlos Soler had ‘everything’ you need in a midfielder

Luis Enrique is one of the best managers around in football and has coached world-class talents such as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe throughout his career.

However, when it comes to Carlos Soler, the Spaniard was full of praise for the midfielder.

Speaking on Spanish radio channel, Onda Deportiva Valencia, Enrique said, “I saw him at Valencia and thought: ‘I like him.'” But when I had him training with us, I said: ‘Wow!’ He has everything we need in a midfielder and has even brought us more things than we thought he had.”

If Wolves are able to sign Soler, he would certainly add more quality to the midfield and provide more competition for Andre and João Gomes.

His career has taken a downward turn after signing for PSG but if Vitor Pereira is able to sign the player and bring back the form that got him his move to Paris, he will have a remarkably talented midfielder at his disposal.
