Everton may have exciting plans for David Moyes as the transfer window approaches its end.

Southampton forward Tyler Dibling has been a long-term target for Everton, and a move could still be on the table despite multiple rejected bids.

Moyes has demanded The Friedkin Group spend more money before the end of August as he looks to build a competitive squad in L5.

The American owners may be about to give the Scottish manager exactly what he needs at the Merseyside outfit soon.

Manchester City defender Nathan Ake wanted by Everton

Manchester City defender Nathan Ake has emerged as a target for Everton this summer, according to the Daily Mail.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The news outlet reports on 21 August that the 30-year-old is of interest to the Blues as Moyes looks to reinforce his squad before the end of August.

It’s been claimed that the versatile defender, who has played 54 times for the Netherlands, could leave the Etihad Stadium after Rayan Ait-Nouri’s arrival from Wolves.

Moyes has already got Jack Grealish on loan from Pep Guardiola’s team, and Ake’s arrival would certainly be another coup for the Merseysiders.

Nathan Ake transfer needed for David Moyes

Jarrad Branthwaite’s injury at the Hill Dickinson Stadium leaves the Toffees with a lack of quality in their backline.

The Blues struggled to get results at the beginning of last season without the English centre-back, and Moyes definitely won’t want to be in a similar situation.

Ake’s arrival could potentially solve multiple issues at the Merseyside outfit, with Vitalii Mykolenko also on the sidelines.

Man City signed Ake for £41million in 2020.

The 30-year-old was also a part of two Premier League-winning teams at Chelsea.

The defender’s strong suits include holding on to the ball and his passing ability from the back.

Everton could use the Man City defender to partner James Tarkowski or use him as a left-back.

The Dutch national has been a reliable option for Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium over the years, with the Spanish manager calling him “exceptional” in an interview with Sky Sports.

Ake’s situation in the coming weeks will certainly be worth keeping an eye on for fans in L5, but it remains to be seen how much money it will take to sign him from the Cityzens.
