Ruben Amorim was pictured with 14-year-old JJ Gariel at Carrington on Thursday.

Gabriel and his family were introduced to Manchester United's head coach. Amorim posed for a photo with the supremely talented youngster, who has already been tipped to reach the top of the game.

United invited Gabriel to watch last weekend's game against Arsenal in the directors' box, following the teenager's decision to commit his future to the club for at least the next two years.

Academy prospects would not usually be invited to meet Amorim and watch a Premier League game in the directors' box, but the feeling is that Gabriel is not an ordinary talent.

Gabriel is just 14 years old but has genuine star potential and already has a huge profile. Gabriel has been on the radar of top European clubs, however, he decided this summer to continue in Manchester.

Director of football Jason Wilcox played an important role in convincing Gabriel and his family, while Matt Hargreaves (director of football negotiations) was also involved in the process.

Gabriel made his debut for the Under-18s at the beginning of April and scored twice from the bench. He made a further two appearances for the U18s before the end of the season and scored again.

The exciting propsect was given the nickname 'Kid Messi' after clips of him training and completing specialist skills went viral on social media when he was younger.

Gabriel has a European passport, which caught the attention of big clubs on the continent.
