Celtic expert gives'very excited'reaction to Chelsea youngster Dastan Satpaev after Champions League draw

There is plenty of excitement surrounding the upcoming addition of Dastan Satpaev at Chelsea, and he has continued to show his promise as part of a remarkable Champions League result.

Satpaev has provided heroics for Kairat Almaty as they have pushed towards their first ever season amongst Europe’s elite, and they have now given themselves a great chance of producing a shock result to do just that.

They secured a 0-0 draw away from home against Celtic in the final play-off round of the competition, with the tie set to be concluded in Kazakhstan next week.

Satpaev broke the record for youngest Champions League goalscorer earlier in the campaign, however will not get the chance to help send them to the competition’s main stage after picking up a suspension following a yellow card against Celtic.

Celtic expert praises ‘promising’ Chelsea youngster Dastan Satpaev after Champions League exploits

Despite that setback, it was still another very promising performance from the 17-year-old on the big stage, and Celtic expert and 67 Hail Hail writer Callum Boyle shared how impressive he looked, despite his age.

He said: “Dastan Satpaev was one of Kairat’s most promising players against Celtic on Wednesday night. In a game that lacked quality, Satpaev played with a maturity that suggests his footballing IQ is way more advanced than most 17-year-olds. Satpaev could’ve had an assist if it wasn’t for the offside flag but that didn’t stop him from passing the ball around at various angles, as well as joining the attacks.

“He did let himself down right at the end of the game by giving away an unnecessary foul that resulted in a yellow card and a suspension for the second leg so needs to work on not losing himself in the heat of the moment.

“If I was a Chelsea fan, I’d be very excited to see what he can offer in the future.”
