Huge blow as Leeds United star ruled out for Arsenal game

The Whites dominated most of the game, with Toffees boss David Moyes even giving them credit for the win.

“Leeds were better than us on the night, certainly the first half. We were better in the second half and on that alone we might have had a chance of winning the game.”

Leeds should have found the back of the net more than once, but the finishing let the team down. It took the last 10 minutes of the game for a goal to be scored. The referee deemed James Tarkowski to have committed a handball in the box.

Lukas Nmecha stepped up to slot it home to give the club their first three points of the season at Elland Road.

Ampadu went down late in the game after he collided with an Everton player earlier. He looked to have shaken the knock off, but could not continue and was substituted. After the game, the news was that it was just a small injury.

Daniel Farke has now given a huge update on the club captain, saying that he will be out till the next international break:

”Bad news He will be out at least until the international break. He’s a tough boy. He will miss the next three games including cup game.

”Not ideal. He’s out captain. Very important player. We will have to find some solutions.”

Who steps in to replace him?

Thanks to the recruitment this summer, there will be options on the bench including Ilia Gruev and Sean Longstaff. Leeds are very stocked in the midfield area, and could even add more new faces before the transfer window ends.
