Newcastle are pushing ahead with a move to sign Wolves star Jacob Strand Larsen in a £60m+ deal, according to Express and Star journalist Liam Keen.
The Magpies have had a decent summer improving their squad as they look to prepare for the Champions League this season, with Eddie Howe adding all of Anthony Elanga, Aaron Ramsdale, Malick Thiaw and Jacob Ramsey to his side.
But a new striker has been seen as a priority all summer long, with Callum Wilson leaving at the end of his contract and Alexander Isak pushing to leave, and now Strand Larsen has emerged as a key target.

Strand Larsen, who stands at 6ft 4 and has been described as 'clinical', enjoyed a fine debut season at Molineux last season with 14 Premier League goals, which saw his loan move from Celta Vigo turned permanent this summer.
But now Wolves are facing a battle to keep hold of the Norwegian international, with Newcastle ready to step up their interest and take him to St James' Park.
It's understood that Wolves would demand a fee in excess of £60m as they are desperate to keep hold of the 25-year-old. Wolves would also be keen to add two forwards to their squad this summer should they lose him, and with only 11 days remaining in the transfer window, time is against everyone.
