Daniel Farke provides exciting Leeds United transfer update ahead of Arsenal challenge

Daniel Farke says Leeds United could sign another two attackers before the transfer window closes, despite the arrival of winger Noah Okafor from AC Milan. A new full-back is also on the agenda.

United have made three offensive signings so far, with Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin also acquired this summer. While Calvert-Lewin’s fitness availability for Saturday is in question, Farke has outlined that Okafor is in contention for his debut having already played for Milan in their opening game of the season.

Farke now has five wingers and three strikers, as well as number 10 Brenden Aaronson, who has been deployed on the wing since the start of pre-season. However, the department could still yet grow.

“Let's see if we do even more offensive signings. One maybe two would be beneficial,” he said at Thorp Arch on Friday. “I'm not too strong about numbers. I think it's necessary to do something in the full-back position.

“Noah and Dominic are two really good options but to have two or more signings for the offensive it would be beneficial but while not doing anything silly.”

Farke, meanwhile. is pleased with the signing of Okafor, who has become the ninth signing of the window after arriving for a fee of up to £18million with add-ons.

“We want to bring quality signings and Noah fits for this. He is a player who has his favourite position on the left wing. It fits perfectly. He can also play as the second striker or the false nine," Farke explained.

“He can offer goals and assists, he has delivered a few for AC Milan and scored in the Champions League. He has really good pace and is a dribbler. Strong player but I don't want to praise him too much - I want to let him deliver. He has everything to impress.”
