Liverpool have suffered a major blow with new signing Jeremie Frimpong out until after the international break.
Frimpong featured in both the Community Shield, where he found the back of the net against Crystal Palace, and in their Premier League opener with Bournemouth last Friday.
However, Frimpong will now be out until after the international break after picking up a hamstring injury. The news comes as Conor Bradley returned to first-team training - but lacks match sharpness ahead of Newcastle on Monday evening.
The Reds are also doubting Joe Gomez's fitness - leaving Slot with a headache ahead of the Premier League clash.
Slot explained at his press conference: "Conor trained with us for a few minutes today for the first time. Medical team was completely right about Jeremie to take him off because he's out until the end of the international break.

"We felt Jeremie had an issue in his hamstring - the medical team did. They were right. A good call from them as otherwise he could have been out for even longer."
He added: "Jeremie has a very positive injury record. Conor has been out once or twice last season. These things happen.
"We only have two injuries at the same moment but they are in the same position. Wata, Dominik Szoboszlai."

"You can't prepare for injuries in one position - you can't have five right-backs. Although we do have three left-backs at the moment!"
The Reds got their Premier League campaign off to a winning start on Friday evening - after a brief scare - and will be looking to head back to the summit of the table against Newcastle.
Alexander Isak's future is hanging over the game, with the wantaway Newcastle star insisting he's played his final game for the Magpies.
