Everton play host to Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday at the brand new Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The 52,000-seater will get it’s grand unveiling after years of construction in what’s set to be a very special atmosphere.
After Everton’s 1-0 defeat to Leeds United, they will be expected to react positively with a victory against the Seagulls, who drew on the opening day against Fulham.
Ahead of Sunday’s clash, Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has heaped praise on Everton supporters in Thursday’s press conference.

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler praises Everton fans
Hurzeler is under no illusion that the atmosphere will be vociferous on Sunday, having experienced Goodison Park for the first time last season.
“It’s very important that we focus on us because there are things we might not expect, we might not or cannot prepare for,” the 32-year-old explained.
“There are unpredictable things that can happen. So these are all things we can’t influence. So the focus should really be on our preparation. How can we be the best prepared team for this game?

“And then of course we all know – and I experienced on my own during the first game I had in Everton, there was a special atmosphere, a loud atmosphere, and we expect the same this weekend, Everton supporters are known for being very emotional.
“They’re known for being great supporters, for being great supporters for their team. So we are looking forward for this atmosphere.
“We are looking forward to seeing the new stadium, but we are not there to be that nice club, we are there to win points and that’s our goal.”
Everton’s last five meetings against Brighton
Everton have a very good record against Brighton in recent times, having lost just one of their last five games.

The last meeting came back in January, with Iliman Ndiaye converting from the spot in a 1-0 win at the Amex.
It was David Moyes’ second win since returning to the club after Sean Dyche decided to leave at the turn of the year.
That memorable 5-1 win is also on the recent meetings record, so clearly they’re a team the Toffees like playing against.
There will certainly be a big home advantage on Sunday, as Hurzeler noted.
