On Wednesday evening reporter Fabrizio Romano gave his signature ‘Here we Go,’ to confirm that Eberechi Eze will sign for Mikel Arteta’s Gunners.
As reported by the Standard, Eze’s release clause expired on Friday 15th August as the Premier League season got underway.
His release clause was thought to be in the region of £60m + £8m in add ons. This deal however is set to be worth £60m + £7.5m in add ons.
QPR are reportedly set to receive 15% of Crystal Palace’s profit on their deal. The West London based side sold him in 2020 for a fee of £19.5m and will be due roughly £6m.

Arsenal were interested in Eze earlier in the transfer window but cooled their interest after youngster Ethan Nwaneri signed a contract extension.
North London rivals Tottenham reignited their interest after James Maddison suffered an ACL injury in pre-season which will rule him out for the majority of the 2025/26 season.
But Kai Havertz suffered an injury on the opening weekend of the season which is set to be a medium to long term problem meaning the Gunners re-entered the race and this move has since accelerated rapidly.
Eze previously was released by Arsenal at 13 and since has spoken about this being a tough time bringing him to tears with his mother having to console him. The 27-year-old has since always spoken about a desire to return and play for the club.
Crystal Palace will now enter the market to try and secure a replacement for their legend who scored in the 1-0 FA Cup final win in May which secured the club’s first major trophy.

Sky SportsPremier League**** have reported that the Eagles are close to agreeing a £32m deal with Leicester City for forward player El Khannouss. The Moroccan attacker is apparently ‘keen’ on the move according to Talk Sport’s Ben Jacobs.
The 21-year-old has previously operated as an attacking midfielder and a left winger and would take **Eberechi Eze**’s role as the ‘left 10’ in Oliver Glasner’s 3-4-2-1 system.
The forward made his professional debut for Genk in February 2022 and since his first senior game three and a half years ago, he has scored seven goals in 133 games while picking up 21 assists.
However, Palace fans have recently seen manager Glasner drastically help to improve the end product of the likes of Eze, Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
If the South London side make a move, the goals may have to be shared around with more expected from other attacking outlets such as Daniel Munoz, Ismaila Sarr, Mateta and Eddie Nketiah.
The Moroccan’s ball carrying was impressive during a disappointing season for the Foxes. Furthermore, his passing ability is impressive at 80% completion last season as he tends to create chances, while also showing a confidence in front of goal.

Tzolis was thought to be one of the options that Palace are in for this summer to replace the heavily linked away Eze. But Club Brugge have insisted that their man is ‘not for sale.’
The Greek winger has previously had a stint in England playing the 2021/22 season on loan at Norwich and the second half of the 2022/23 season.
Norwich were a Premier League side in 2021/22 and Tzolis was only 19 turning 20 at this point. He failed to score in his 15 appearances in the Premier League and **FA Cup.**However, in the EFL Cup he bagged two goals and two assists in two games.
Since the start of 2023/24, the 23-year-old forward has recorded an impressive 48 goals and 26 assists in 101 games meaning that his end product is certainly impressive at the moment.
The Telegraph reported that Palace had submitted a bid in the region of 30 million euros. But it would take a package of 40 million euros for Brugge to consider a departure.

Rob Dorsett of Sky Sports recently reported that Palace retain their interest in the Saints’ exciting teenager.
Everton and Tottenham have also both shown interest in the 19-year-old forward player.
The Toffees last offer was reported by The Athletics David Ornstein to be a total package of £40m including add-ons. Southampton initially had priced Dibling at £100m but this has reportedly dropped to £45m + £5m in add-ons and a 25% sell on clause.
Last season Dibling broke onto the scene playing 38 games in all competitions, scoring four goals and assisting two.
His former Southampton manager Russell Martin has described him as ‘the most talented player he has ever seen,’ on the Rest is Football podcast saying that he is really powerful, and quick and can shoot with both feet.
Martin also said he thinks Dibling will go on to play as an ‘eight’ or ‘ten’ but is incredible out wide with his current skill set.
