Reporters close to Wolverhampton Wanderers have broken news that Newcastle United are pushing to sign Joren Strand Larsen.
The Magpies are continuing their hunt for new attacking talent amid the Alexander Isak saga while Liverpool are reportedly also looking at other targets to ensure they are prepared for the worst case scenario.
If Liverpool cannot sign Isak, they are considering signing Real Madrid star Rodrygo but they may now be set to receive a boost as Newcastle are pushing to sign Strand Larsen.
Newcastle United make push to sign £60m-rated Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen
Today, Wolves reporter Liam Keen published a tweet with a link to an article (which is partially behind a paywall), sharing news that Newcastle are now pushing to sign Strand Larsen, who is valued at £60m.
His tweet reads: “Wolves facing real fight to keep Jorgen Strand Larsen as Newcastle push to sign the striker in £60m+ deal.
“Wolves would also need to sign two forwards, with limited time left in the window, if a Larsen departure materialised.”

The article itself claims: “The Magpies are in the market for another forward after losing Callum Wilson and the ongoing saga with Alexander Isak’s potential departure.
“As exclusively revealed by the Express & Star earlier this summer, Newcastle hold strong interest in Larsen and talks have already begun between intermediaries over a potential deal but the clubs are not in direct contact and will only hold negotiations if they believe they are getting closer to agreeing a fee.”
Could Wissa and Strand Larsen be the two signings Newcaslte United make to pave the way for Alexander Isak to leave?
Yoane Wissa has been a top target for Newcastle United all summer but they have been unwilling to meet Brentford’s £60m asking price following the 19 goals he scored in the Premier League last season.
Strand Larsen has been a player of interest as well but until now, Newcastle haven’t made a serious push to sign him.
Newcastle have been very clear all summer that Isak can only leave when two forwards have been signed and an acceptable bid has been received and accepted.
