Both Arsenal and Manchester United managers, Mikel Arteta and Ruben Amorim, have shared their opposite viewpoints in the press conference. Arsenal and Manchester United began their season by facing each other on 17th August. Although Arsenal secured all three points, Manchester United were the much better side throughout the match. Manchester United conceded an early goal because their goalkeeper Bayindir failed to clear the ball properly. But the Red Devils didn’t sit back and put huge pressure on the Arsenal defense. Despite losing the match, Ruben Amorim was more positive than Mikel Arteta. On the other hand, Mikel Arteta was calm and humble.

Manchester United started with their two new attackers, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbuemo. Arsenal also kept their new signing, Viktor Gyokeres, on the upfront. Although a win is what matters the most in football, Arsenal fans feel that they were just lucky not to concede two or three goals from Manchester United. With this solid squad, Arteta surely has no excuse to give this time.

Amorim was Straightforward to the Media
Confident Ruben Amorim began his post-match press conference by declaring that his team had proved to all that they could beat any team in the English Premier League this season. Ruben Amorim has also claimed that he was happy that his team wasn’t boring throughout the 90 minutes. He added more that it was his team who deserved to win this match. According to the Manchester United manager, apart from conceding the ‘strange goal’, his side were dominating the opponents in every aspect. Also while asked about the futures of Andre Onana and Rasmus Hoijlund, Amorim has cleverly made his point. He has ensured that Onana is not leaving the club and the goalkeeper is training hard to get back in the first eleven. In case of Hoijlund’s future, it seems that it is going to solely Hoijlund’s job to regain his place in the starting line-up.

Despite the victory, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta was pessimistic in the post match interview. In the very beginning, he admitted that it was a very difficult start to the new season. With this win, Arteta hopes that it will help his team build the momentum. After the first defeat of the season, spirited Manchester United will lock horns against Fulham on 24th August. The fans are expecting a dominating victory in that match. On the other hand, Arsenal will face Leeds United on 23rd August. The Gunners will hope to keep up the momentum.
