Nottingham Forest reportedly have Stuttgart striker Ermedin Demirovic on their radar ahead of the impending transfer deadline.
The Reds have until 7pm on September 1 to finalise Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad for this season. They have already overseen some excellent additions, but further incomings and outgoings are expected before the summer window closes.
Bolstering their attacking resources has been a priority for Forest, with forwards Igor Jesus and Arnaud Kalimuendo having already put pen to paper. The duo will be competing with Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi for game time as Nuno looks to navigate the additional European games facing his team this term.
Strengthening in other areas of the pitch, most notably at full-back, is at the top of the club’s to-do list in the remaining days of the window. But it has been suggested bringing in extra firepower might also be a possibility.
According to Get Football News Germany, the Reds ‘remain interested’ in Demirovic. Leeds United are also said to be keen on the 27-year-old.
A €40 million (£35m) price tag is said to have been placed on the forward’s head. However, Stuttgart are seemingly reluctant to sell and the player himself is only interested in a ‘top offer’.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina international struggled for regular minutes last season but still bagged 17 goals. He signed for Stuttgart from Augsburg on a four-year deal 12 months ago.

Forest have made seven signings so far this window. In addition to Jesus and Kalimuendo, they have brought in Jair Cunha, Dan Ndoye, Angus Gunn, Omari Hutchinson and James McAtee.
Douglas Luiz is expected to become the club’s eighth summer addition. An initial loan move from Juventus is in the pipeline for the former Aston Villa man.
