Father of NBA player identified as suspect in Las Vegas park stabbing: reports

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The man arrested after a stabbing during a dispute over a parking space at a park has been identified, police said.

Quenton Marselles Brown was arrested on charges related to a stabbing at a park on Buffalo Drive near Charleston Boulevard.

Brown is the father of Boston Celtics basketball player Jaylen Brown, TMZ reported Thursday. The shooting guard joined the team for the 2016 - 2017 season and was the NBA Finals MVP in 2024.

Police said two people were arguing over a parking space when a suspect stabbed another person in the stomach. The person who was stabbed, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital, where they are recovering.

Brown faces one count of attempted murder, a felony, and is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
