LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The father of NBA star Jaylen Brown was arrested for **[Wednesday night's stabbing at a Las Vegas park](https://news3lv.com/news/local/one-injured-one-arrested-after-argument-over-parking-space-leads-to-stabbing#)**, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

Jail records show Quenton M. Brown, 57, was booked sometime Thursday morning on suspicion of attempted murder. His first court appearance is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

A source tells News 3 that Brown, who goes by his middle name Marselles, was the suspect arrested for the stabbing at All American Park on Buffalo Drive near Charleston Boulevard.

LVMPD previously said two people got into an argument over a parking space, and one person stabbed the other in the stomach.

Officers found the suspect and took him into custody, while the victim was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery.

A department spokesperson later confirmed that Brown was arrested for the stabbing.

No further details have been released. It's unclear if Brown has an attorney.

Jaylen Brown, a four-time NBA All-Star and 2024 Finals MVP, has played with the Boston Celtics since being drafted by the team in 2016. He is originally from Marietta, Georgia.
