Everton open up the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday for their first-ever competitive game on the docks.
David Moyes has already seen his side play at the new stadium, with two friendlies under their belt against Port Vale and AS Roma.
Sunday is going to be something different, though.
For the first time, Everton will be hosting a Premier League game at their new state-of-the-art home.
Everton secured a lucrative stadium naming rights deal earlier this summer, which will prove a huge positive for the club’s finances.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium is proving a real game changer for the club’s spreadsheets, but The Friedkin Group are also giving back to the fans in the process.

Finance expert Kieran Maguire has, however, praised the owners for keeping concession prices available for those who need it.
Maguire took to social media to share his attendance on Sunday, with the finance expert impressed by the Friedkins’ stance on ticket pricing.
‘Looking forward to seeing Everton’s magnificent new stadium on Sunday and fair play to #EFC for having discounted tickets for under 25’s and starting senior tickets at 65,’ he said.
‘Other clubs take note.’
Everton have sold their women’s team in a bid to boost the club’s PSR headroom, with major investment coming into the club.
Plenty of positive changes have been made on Merseyside, but it will be a real plus to see the new owners still looking out for their match-going fans.
Everton keep senior fans at the heart of the club
Last year, Tottenham Hotspur removed concession pricing for seniors, which sparked fury amongst the supporters.
Having just landed in December, it is important for the Friedkins to keep in the good books of the Everton fans.
In fact, the Friedkins are looking to invest further in Everton, with documents already submitted for the sale of more shares.
Exciting times are ahead of Everton, and it will please the fans to see owners in charge who appear to be acting in a way previous owners did not.
At a time of so much change, the last thing the Friedkins will want is for the fans not to be on their side.
