Man United are hoping to offload several members of Ruben Amorim’s squad before the end of the window.

As the end of the transfer window is getting closer and closer, Man United will be getting more desperate to sell their ‘deadwood’ players, which Ruben Amorim has already said he wants to offload before the end of the summer.

Antony is another one. He was excellent on loan for Real Betis last season; however, there haven’t been many reports saying a deal is likely for him to leave the club. It would be a waste of wages if they can’t sell him and have to keep him, so with less than two weeks left in the window, it could be a late sale.

Real Betis ‘working on finance options’ to afford Antony

Antony spent the second half of the season on loan at Betis last year, and he impressed in Spain, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in 26 games. There is mutual interest from Betis and Antony, as the player would love to move back to the club, and Betis are desperate to sign their star man.

According to Sky Sports Journalist Dharmesh Sheth, Betis are trying to work out a way to afford a deal for Antony, as they desperately want to sign him. Sheth said: “Real Betis are working on various finance options to try and get a deal done for Manchester United forward Antony.

“Those options include basing the deal heavily on incentive-based payments. Ideally, United want to do a permanent deal. But with only 12 days to go until the window closes – and the player’s desire to return to Betis – another loan cannot be ruled out.”

If they can afford him, there would be no worries about personal terms, as it feels like Antony would jump at the chance to return to play in the green and white at Betis.

Antony has interest from the Premier League

There haven’t been a lot of teams in for Antony this summer, but there is a reported interest in him from several other clubs. Previous reports have said that the likes of Atletico Madrid and RB Leipzig are keen to sign the winger, although no talks have been reported in the media.

If Betis can’t get a deal done for Antony, then Man United could offer him to Brighton. It is understood that they would need to sell him for £32.5m at least to avoid a PSR loss, but they may have to with just 12 days left to go in the Premier League season.
