The Bulls will retire the Derrick Rose No. 1 jersey in January, but they will make it a season-long celebration.

The Derrick Rose jersey was always destined for the United Center rafters, and on Thursday the franchise announced when.

The Bulls said in a statement that Rose’s No. 1 jersey will be retired in a postgame ceremony against the Celtics on Jan. 24, 2026, and while they offered up some details on the event, they also wanted to save something for later as the date draws closer.

What they did disclose was there will be a United Center atrium experience, and there will be four Rose figurines representing the different chapters of his career handed out at games throughout the 2025-26 campaign.

The first is his “Rookie of the Year” figurine on Nov. 4, followed by “Face Mask” Rose on Dec. 17, honoring the start of the 2015-16 season in which he fractured an orbital bone and had to wear a protective mask.

On Feb. 22, it will be the “MVP” figurine, remembering his 2010-11 MVP season, and on Mar. 19 it will be “Green Jersey” Rose to honor the green alternate jersey during the 2010-11 season.
