Juventus have agreement in principle for another Arthur Melo loan deal

Juventus agree to send Arthur back to Gremio

According to reports fromGianluca Di Marzio, Juventus have a verbal agreement with Gremio to send Arthuur out on loan, which will be his fourth different temporary move away from the OId Lady.

The Bianconeri will reportedly formalise Arthur’s loan departure on Friday

The former Barcelona midfielder infamously spent the 2022-23 season on loan with Liverpool, where he played for just 13 minutes during the entire season. He then had a more successful time in terms of fitness with Fiorentina in 2023-24, before joining Girona in LaLiga for the second half of the 2025-26 campaign.

For Douglas, a move to Gremio will be a homecoming after a seven-year spell in Europe. The 29-year-old spent five years of his youth career with the Brazilian outfit and another three with the senior side before going on to join Barcelona in 2018.

Arthur will be the second Brazilian midfielder to leave Juventus in as many days, followingDouglas Luiz’s departure to join Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, which is expected to be officially announced in the near future.
