Eze, Guehi decisions confirmed as Palace name Conference League XI amid transfer rumours

Crystal Palace have confirmed that Eberechi Eze has been left out of the matchday squad for tonight’s Conference League playoff first leg against Fredrikstad at Selhurst Park.

Head coach Oliver Glasner stated at his pre-match press conference that “committed” stars Eze ad captain Marc Guehi would both start despite speculation surrounding their future.

However, Eze will not be involved against Fredrikstad and has seemingly already played his final game for the Eagles, as they have allegedly **agreed a £67.5m deal**to sell the attacker to Arsenal.

Eze is expected to undergo his Gunners medical on Friday and will bid farewell to the Palace squad before finalising his move to the Emirates Stadium, ending his five-year spell at Selhurst Park.

Guehi, meanwhile, has been strongly linked with a move to Premier League champions Liverpool, but the centre-back will start as Palace’s captain against Fredrikstad, lining up alongside Maxence Lacroix and Jefferson Lerma in the back three.

Lerma is one of three changes made to Glasner’s side from the team that began the 0-0 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League last Sunday, with Borna Sosa and Justin Devenny also starting as Chris Richards, Tyrick Mitchell and Eze all make way.

Sosa is handed his first competitive start at left wing-back, while Daniel Munoz retains his place on the opposite flank as Adam Wharton and Will Hughes link arms in centre-midfield.

Devenny, who smashed home the winning penalty to help Palace beat Liverpool in a shootout to win the Community Shield earlier this month, will join Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta in attack.

Crystal Palace starting lineup: Henderson; Lerma, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Sosa; Sarr, Devenny; Mateta
