The New York Knicks have kept their core players this offseason. There was no significant change to their roster, and they have only added a couple of role players. The Knicks added forward Guerschon Yabusele on a two-year contract. Last season was his first in the NBA after the 2018-19 season.

Jordan Clarkson is also the other new player on the team. Clarkson signed with the Knicks after spending six years with the Utah Jazz. He agreed to buy out his contract, which allowed him to sign a veteran minimum deal.

Without any major additions or subtractions from the roster, the Knicks are still expected to be a playoff team.

The Knicks Are Expected to Have Their Third Straight 50-Win Season

The only major change for the Knicks was their coach. The front office fired Tom Thibodeau after leading them to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time since 2000. They hired Mike Brown, a two-time Coach of the Year, to lead the team.

According to Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report, he predicts the Knicks will have the same record of 51-31 next season. It will be the third straight time they’ll finish a regular season with at least 50 wins.

“Well, think back to the caveat in the intro. There are only so many wins to go around, and being higher than consensus on one team might mean shaving a win or two off other teams,” Bailey wrote.

But with a weakened Eastern Conference, things could change. The Knicks could take over the top of the conference, depending on how well they perform.
