Julio Enciso is set to become the latest name in Chelsea long-term rebuild, with BlueCo finalising a deal that takes him to Strasbourg for the 2025/26 season before he joins the Blues. The Paraguayan talent will sign a contract keeping him at Stamford Bridge until June 2031, with an option to extend to 2032. His medical is booked in London this Thursday, marking the final step before paperwork is completed.
Enciso’s Pathway Through Strasbourg
Enciso, 21, will play this season at RC Strasbourg, part of the BlueCo multi-club network. This structure allows Chelsea’s owners to develop high-potential players while managing squad space and ensuring immediate game time.
Strasbourg had already reached their loan limit, so the forward joins on a permanent basis in France before switching to Chelsea next summer. The move costs between €15m and €20m, depending on add-ons and source reports. Brighton, who signed him from Libertad in 2022, part ways with one of South America’s brightest attacking prospects.

Chelsea Long-Term Vision
Chelsea see Enciso as a project signing—young, dynamic, and able to grow within their system. He will remain in Ligue 1 for a season of development before integrating at Stamford Bridge in 2026. With a contract running until 2031, Enciso joins the list of players tied down for nearly a decade, reflecting Chelsea’s future-focused strategy under Todd Boehly’s ownership. His signing also highlights BlueCo’s commitment to using Strasbourg as a development hub within European football.

This deal feels like another bold bet from Chelsea. At around €15–20m, Julio Enciso offers a low-risk, high-upside gamble if he manages his injury setbacks. The pathway through Strasbourg is smart, giving him minutes while Chelsea keep their squad lean. Whether he delivers or not, the move shows Chelsea are doubling down on their long-term multi-club model.
