The Packers cut Jaire Alexander loose back in June following an offseason of contentious contract negotiations and the former Pro Bowl cornerback’s inability to consistently stay healthy over the past several years. However, after signing with the Baltimore Ravens, Alexander could be primed for a major bounce-back season.
Alexander playing opposite Marlon Humphrey in a secondary that includes safeties Kyle Hamilton and rookie Malaki Starks could create major opportunities for the veteran cornerback not just to play a vital role in the Ravens’ success this season but also have one of the strongest seasons of his career.
Ex-Packers CB Jaire Alexander Projected to Lead the NFL in Interceptions

Alexander enters the 2025 campaign with 12 interceptions, and five over the past three seasons.
NFL Media’s Cynthia Frelund projects Alexander could pull down a league-high five interceptions this fall.
“Interception totals are fickle,” Frelund writes. “But this is still a fun category. Part of the problem with forecasting them is that opposing QBs are generally smart enough to not throw in the direction of defenders who are, by talent and skill level, best suited to pick the ball off.
“The logic of my model here is that the Ravens’ defense will see a high volume of passes as their opponents attempt to keep pace with Baltimore’s potent offense. The Ravens also have the NFL’s second-highest-rated secondary, according to my model. Alexander’s style of play and the potential volume of passes coming his way lead this projection.”
Alexander will be playing in one of the NFL’s most talented and stingiest secondaries, and on a defense built to relentlessly pressure opposing quarterbacks into mistakes, which could set the stage for him to be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the pressure and supporting cast around him.
However, for Alexander to come close to the level of production Frelund projects, he’ll need to first prove he can get and stay healthy, which was one of his biggest struggles in Green Bay.
