Houston Texans' Jimmie Ward faces lawsuit over alleged assault while under meth influence

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward is facing a civil lawsuit alleging he sexually and physically assaulted a woman while under the influence of meth while their 3-year-old son was present in the home, [according to KTRK.](https://abc13.com/post/lawsuit-says-texans-jimmie-ward-assaulted-woman-influence-meth-child-home/17600925/)

The lawsuit, filed in Harris County, accuses Ward of assaulting the woman multiple times this year.

Ward was arrested June 12 on a domestic assault charge after allegedly entering the woman's home while displaying "erratic and aggressive" behavior, according to the lawsuit cited by KTRK. The lawsuit states she suspected Ward was under the influence of crystal methamphetamine at the time.

The filing alleges Ward slapped and choked her while their son was asleep, then threatened to kill her and forced her to perform a sex act, KTRK reported.

Ward was arrested again earlier this month for allegedly drinking and contacting her in violation of his bond agreement, KTRK said.
