Brighton and Hove Albion boss shares clear verdict on ‘unbelievable’ Jack Grealish ahead of Everton clash

Jack Grealish is looking for his first Everton start as Brighton and Hove Albion visit the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Everton suffered a frustrating opening weekend of the new Premier League season.

David Moyes watched on as Everton lost 1-0 at Leeds United on Monday night, mustering just one shot on target in the process.

Everton are in need of attacking additions, but were able to hand a debut to Jack Grealish at Elland Road.

Grealish has joined Everton on loan from Manchester City as he looks to get his career back on track with the Toffees.

Grealish was only a substitute against Leeds, but he will now hope for a first Everton start against Brighton on Sunday.

Fabian Hurzeler on Jack Grealish

The former Aston Villa star has serious quality in his locker, but fell down the pecking order at Manchester City.

Now hoping to rejuvenate his career under Moyes, Grealish will look to nail down the left-wing spot at Everton very quickly.

This weekend could see Grealish make his first Everton start, as the Toffees host Brighton and Hove Albion at their new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Seagulls boss Fabian Hurzeler has now shared his verdict on Grealish, ahead of potentially facing the winger this weekend.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Brighton’s official YouTube channel, Hurzeler admitted that he thinks Grealish is an ‘unbelievable’ player.

Hurzeler suggested that Grealish brings beauty to the game and has proven his quality across his time with City and Villa.

The Brighton boss added that Everton are ‘very, very organised’ under Moyes and will be a real threat in a number of ways.

“David Moyes’ teams are always very, very organised,” said Hurzeler.

“It’s difficult to create chances. They are very clever in certain moments; they use every advantage they get, so you have to be awake all the time. You have to be awake, for example, when there is a corner against you, and then there’s a second phase, you have to be awake when there is a throw-in for them, so they are really good in these kind of things.

“I think Jack Grealish, he proved so far that he’s a great player. He proved it for City, and I’m sure that he will help Everton because he is an unbelievable talent.

“I really liked to watch him in former times, because I just think that he makes the game more beautiful, and he is a factor in why people watch this game,” he added.

Jack Grealish’s record against Brighton and Hove Albion

Grealish boasts a decent record against Leeds, but he wasn’t really on for long enough to make a big impact against the Whites on Monday.

Sunday brings another chance for Grealish to shine, and he has already played against Brighton on 11 occasions.

Grealish played seven times against Brighton for Aston Villa, registering a sensational record of four goals and one assist.

The 29-year-old then played another four games against Brighton as a Manchester City player, adding an assist to his tally.

Grealish would love to haunt Brighton again on Sunday, and that may begin with a first start in Everton colours.
