Luka Doncic leads Slovenia's final roster for FIBA EuroBasket 2025.
Slovenia has unveiled its final roster for the FIBA EuroBasket 2025, headlined by their lone NBA superstar—Los Angeles Lakers playmaker Luka Doncic.

Position: PG, SG
Age: 26
Height: 201 cm
Weight: 104 kg
Birth place: Ljubljana, Slovenia
The last two cuts from the team, made by coach Aleksander Sekulic, were Miha Cerkvenik and Zak Smrekar. Sekulic finalized the roster after Slovenia suffered a 106–72 loss to Nikola Jokic's Serbia in their final warm-up game.
Slovenia has struggled in pre-tournament friendlies, winning only one of six matches. In EuroBasket, they will compete in Group D alongside host nation Poland, Iceland, Belgium, Israel, and France.
The team will be without Vlatko Cancar, who left the Denver Nuggets to join EuroLeague team Olimpia Milano this offseason and has opted out of the tournament to focus on his next career chapter. He was excluded from the preliminary roster.
Another key absence is Josh Nebo, Cancar's new teammate. The naturalized Milan center will miss the EuroBasket after the injury-plagued 2024–25 season.
With Cancar and Nebo out, the team will lean heavily on Doncic and sharpshooter Klemen Prepelic—now playing for EuroLeague newcomers Dubai BC—to lead the charge.
