Kansas City man who trafficked illegal gun found at rally shooting receives sentencing

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A Kansas City man who admitted to trafficking illegal guns, including one found at the scene of the Super Bowl rally shooting, has been sentenced.

Fedo A. Manning, 24, was sentenced to 66 months in prison without parole, followed by three years of supervised release.

Manning admitted on April 17, 2025, that he knowingly and willfully joined into an agreement to sell guns to prohibited individuals.

One of the guns Manning sold was found along a wall near Union Station on Feb. 14, 2024, the day a shooting at the end of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl rally killed a woman and injured 22 others.

The recovered gun was a .223-caliber pistol. The gun was loaded and found next to a backpack with two AR-15 style firearms and backpacks.

Federal prosecutors said because the pistol was in the “fire” position, and there were 26 live rounds in the magazine -- which is capable of holding 30 rounds -- it may have fired several rounds before it was discarded.

Several co-defendants who were part of the illegal gun trafficking operation that Manning was sentenced for have already pleaded guilty and been sentenced.

Fedo Manning admitted that he was a straw purchaser in the conspiracy.
