NEW ORLEANS, La. (WLBT) - The New Orleans Saints will start quarterback Spencer Rattler in their preseason finale against the Denver Broncos on Saturday, Head Coach Kellen Moore announced Thursday.
This comes on the heels of Rattler best showing in preseason, finishing 18-of-24 for 199 yards in a tie against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He also led the Saints on the game-tying drive late, throwing for a touchdown and scrambling in a two-point conversion.
Tyler Shough will enter the game after Rattler, and Jake Haener will go in third.
Moore clarified that they still have yet to make a decision on who will start in the regular season.
The Saints are the last team in the league to announce their Week 1 starter at quarterback.
The Saints face the Broncos on Saturday at noon.
