U21s preview: Nottingham Forest v Arsenal

Our under-21s will be looking to pick up their first three points of the season as they travel to the East Midlands to face Nottingham Forest on Friday, August 22.

The match will take place at Loughborough University Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 7pm (UK time), and like all PL2 games this season, will be streamed live on [Arsenal.com](https://arsenal.com) and the official app.

Max Porter’s side kicked off their 2025/26 campaign last Friday with a narrow 3-2 defeat to Fulham at Meadow Park. Despite trailing 2-0 early on, goals from Charles Sagoe Jr and Ismeal Kabia pulled us level before the visitors struck late in the second half to take the points

The Opposition

--------------

Nottingham Forest began their season in winning fashion, defeating West Ham United 1-0 away from home thanks to a first-half strike from Archie Whitehall.

Last season, Forest finished 15th in Premier League 2, just securing a play-off spot, but they were knocked out in the first round after extra time against Fulham.

We last met in January, when we came away 2-0 winners courtesy of goals from Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand and Khayon Edwards.
