Leeds United had a well planned out summer transfer window. The early weeks of the summer saw many new faces brought in as the club focused on the defence and midfield.
But then transfer activity stalled a bit as Leeds sorted out their top attacking targets. After sorting the goalkeeping position, the Whites decided to try moves for Igor Paixao and Rodrigo Muniz. It was there that their transfer plans started to look shaky.

Despite making initial proposals and meeting the Brazilian’s representatives, a last minute decision saw the player join Marseille. After a failed bid for Muniz back in June, Leeds never followed up, and now the striker is set to sign a long term deal.
Many believe the club have now had to settle with ”Plan B” signings in Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor.

Despite earlier reports of an agreement to complete a deal to sign Bilal El Khannouss, the midfielder is still a Leicester City player. Crystal Palace’s move seems to have stalled as they finalize Eberechi Eze’s switch to Arsenal this week.
When asked about the youngster’s future, Foxes boss Martin Cifuentes was adamant that nothing has been agreed yet:
“There’s going to be a lot of speculation and a lot of rumours about our players because they are good players, so I’m not surprised.
“That’s the reality, at this stage of the window especially. It’s 10 days left and I assume there’s going to be a lot of speculation.
“The reality is that Bilal is with us and he’s a very good player. It’s normal, this speculation, and I will not comment much on that.”
Leeds can still push for late deal
Just like Arsenal swooped in to take Eze away from Spurs, Leeds United can also do just that. They have already held initial talks with player and club, all it would take is an official bid to make things interesting.
But then again, many fans consider the signings of Calvert-Lewin and Okafor the end of any potential deals for other attackers.
