Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic has confirmed their interest in Sheffield United and Wrexham target Lewis Koumas at Liverpool.
Hull City are keen to land the Premier League attacker on loan before the end of the transfer window. HCAFC have until the deadline on Monday 1st September to complete any incoming or outgoing bits of business.

Koumas, 19, spent the last campaign on loan with Stoke City and scored six goals in 49 appearances in all competitions for the Potters. The Liverpool Echo claim Sheffield United and Wrexham now want him, along with Birmingham City, Norwich City and Preston North End.
The Tigers’ manager Jakirovic has said, as per a report by HullLive: “Yes, but we will see with Liverpool. Koumas is a very good player, a young player, with big potential, so we will see. We will see what will happen in the future.”
Wales head coach Craig Bellamy told The Guardian last year: “With Lewis, every bit I’ve seen of him, I’ve just loved. Fearless. He’s one of those players who just, every time he has it, you feel like something’s going to happen, something positive happens. “They’re the players you would love to coach or you’d love to just go and watch. I’m sure he would have looked at Aaron (Ramsey) for a number of years as well.”

Hull City want Liverpool attacker Lewis Koumas
Hull City should add more firepower to their attacking department and were the lowest scorers in the Championship last term. HCAFC could see Koumas as someone to inject more quality into their options up top.
The Wales international, who has six caps to his name so far, started his career at Tranmere Rovers. He then switched to Liverpool as a youngster and hasn’t looked back since.

Will Hull City sign Lewis Koumas from Liverpool?
Hull City face competition from Sheffield United and Wrexham in pursuit of Koumas from Liverpool. HCAFC will also need to bay away interest from the likes of Birmingham City, Norwich City and Preston North End.
It won’t be easy to get him, especially with their transfer restriction, but they would be able to offer him regular game time which is something that may tempt Liverpool. The Tigers have also done good work in the past with Reds’ players like Tyler Morton and Fabio Carvalho so have an existing relationship.
Jakirovic’s side are back in action this weekend at home to Blackburn Rovers. They won 3-2 against Oxford United last time out so should be in confident mood.
