Everton have been linked to several youthful stars in the Championship this summer as the Premier League side look to strengthen, with Tom Fellows of West Brom being the latest.
David Moyes had been chasing Tyler Dibling from Southampton for most of the summer; however, his latest comments about the difficulty of securing that deal have seen Everton turn their attention to alternative signings.
One of those men now being linked with a potential move to Merseyside is Tom Fellows from West Brom, having been part of a West Brom team that has made a perfect start to the campaign, including an impressive performance against Wrexham.
However, Everton are yet to submit a bid for the West Brom player, with this leading to questions from fans as to why not.
Reason behind why Everton have not signed Tom Fellows
Tom Fellows has been a player of interest to Everton for a significant period of time after his impressive campaign for West Brom last season; however, the Toffees have not yet brought the exciting prospect into the club.
As per information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis understands Everton have attempted to address other things before making a move for Tom Fellows.
Bailey said: “I don’t think that Everton’s pursuit of Tyler Dibling impacts the Tom Fellows situation, necessarily. But I do think that what has happened for Fellows is that there are so many other things that Everton need to do. I just think he’s being put a little bit on the back burner.

“I still wouldn’t rule Fellows out of that Everton move, especially by the end of the window, but it’s a little bit less likely than it was previously.
“Just simply because they’re doing other things. I think this is a lot like the Hayden Hackney situation, where West Brom are fearful they’ll lose their man by the end of the window and are braced for that.”
Lee Carsley is a major fan of Tom Fellows
While Tom Fellows was not a regular first-team choice for England Under-21s, he had a successful period with the team, as he won the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship under Lee Carsley, as reported in the Express and Star.
The England Under 21 manager and former Everton star rates Fellows highly, with the reason that he was not selected more often under him being due to the level of quality in the squad.
Carsley said: “I’ve watched every game that Tom has played for West Brom, whether that be watching live or his clips.
“I rate him; I rate him highly.
“He has just got to keep playing.
“He is a player that I like; he is very dynamic. He can cross a ball and score a goal and is a good player all round.”
