Napoli are reportedly willing to commit to an obligation to buy Rasmus Hojlund during next summer's transfer window, with the Italian champions stepping up their interest in the Manchester United striker.
AC Milan had emerged as the leading contenders for the Denmark international, but the Serie A giants recently dropped their pursuit in order to bring in Victor Boniface on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.
The San Siro giants were said to be unwilling to include an obligation to buy in a loan move for Hojlund, with the club instead wanting an option to buy him in the summer of 2026.
However, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Napoli are preparing to make an offer which would see Hojlund spend the 2025-26 campaign on loan at the club ahead of a permanent switch next summer.
The report claims that Antonio Conte's side have made Hojlund a priority after losing Romelu Lukaku to an injury, and there is hope on both sides that a deal can be agreed before the end of the transfer window.

Napoli 'step up their interest' in Man United's Hojlund
Hojlund was left out of the squad for Man United's opening match of the new Premier League campaign against Arsenal, with head coach Ruben Amorim sending a clear message to the 22-year-old.
The striker has expressed a desire to remain at Old Trafford and battle for his spot in the side, but he has been seemed surplus to requirements following the arrival of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig.
Joshua Zirkzee is set to be the back-up striker this season, while 17-year-old Chido Obi provides another option in the final third of the field.
Amorim has a big decision to make for Sunday's Premier League game against Fulham, with Sesko pushing for a first start, but Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount impressed as the front three against Arsenal.

Hojlund has struggled to fulfil his early promise at Old Trafford
Hojlund scored 16 goals in all competitions for Man United during the 2023-24 campaign, but he only managed 10 last season, with just four of those coming in the Premier League.
The striker has a record of 26 goals and six assists in 95 matches for the Red Devils, and he has had some excellent moments for the club, but last season was a real struggle, and in a World Cup year, Hojlund needs to go elsewhere in order to regain his confidence and fulfil his undoubted promise.
