Manchester United have less than a fortnight to finalise their transfer dealings, having already splashed the cash to bolster their attack with the acquisitions of Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha.

The Red Devils have also snapped up teenage left-back Diego Leon, while Marcus Rashford has been loaned out to Barcelona with an option for a permanent move. Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof have both left the club, following the expiration of their contracts. Yet manager Ruben Amorim is still not satisfied with their recruitment.

However, there's still expected to be plenty of activity at Old Trafford before the transfer window slams shut on September 1. Jadon Sancho, Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia are all likely to be on their way out, while Rasmus Hojlund could also be heading for the exit.

With all this in mind, here's all the latest transfer news from around Old Trafford.

Hojlund setback

Manchester United's efforts to offload £72m flop Rasmus Hojlund have hit a snag after it was revealed that AC Milan are prioritising a move for Victor Boniface, reports the Mirror.

Milan are in the market for a new striker this summer and sporting director Igli Tare had confirmed that Hojlund, 22, was under consideration - with Amorim hopeful that could mean an exit for the goal shy forward, who he wants to cut from his plans.

"Hojlund is a good option for us. We are thinking about him, but in the transfer market, you never know what could happen," Tare told Mediaset.

However, BBC Sport now report Boniface is close to joining Milan on loan from Bayer Leverkusen. The report suggests a deal for Hojlund fell through because the 'structure being negotiated did not include an obligation to buy'.

Baleba clause

Manchester United's pursuit of Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba could be hampered by a clause in his contract.

Brighton have slapped a hefty price tag of more than £100m on the 21-year-old, making a deal this summer seem unlikely, with United prepared to hold off until next year.

However, it's been reported that a sell-on clause stipulates 15% of any fee Brighton receive will go to Lille.

This means Brighton are likely to continue demanding a substantial sum for Baleba next summer, as a £100m sale would result in them handing over £15m to Lille.

Baleba made the move from the French club to Brighton back in 2023 for a fee believed to be around £26m.

Sancho blow

In other news, Roma, who have been linked with Jadon Sancho this summer, are reportedly eyeing up two potential alternatives.

Tottenham are understood to have offered Manor Solomon and Bryan Gil to Roma. While Sancho remains their primary target, reports from Italy suggest it's 'not a given' that the 25-year-old will make the switch.
