Gallery: North Stand roof and development update

Over the off-season work has continued at pace on the Etihad Stadium development.

Fans will be able to see the new North Stand roof after the old one was fully removed over the summer. Outside the stadium, the hotel has been wrapped and is now watertight whilst most of the significant structural building work across the site has now been completed.

As part of the development, the Club is expanding stadium capacity to over 60,000 as well as developing a new fanzone, museum, City Store, 401-bed hotel and a range of food and beverage outlets.

The North Stand itself will open during the 2025-26 football season, with the hotel, workspace and public realm works including City Square, opening later in 2026.

Once completed, the new facilities will sit alongside the 23,500 Co-op Live Arena – a joint venture between City Football Group and Oak View Group - within a wider entertainment destination that our fans, the people of Manchester and the rest of the world can visit and enjoy.
