Liverpool youngster Lewis Koumas has decided to join Birmingham City on loan for the rest of the season, according to GIVEMESPORT transfer correspondent Fabrizio Romano - with the Welsh international set to undergo a medical ahead of a move to the West Midlands.
Koumas, son of Championship icon Jason, joined the Reds as an 11-year-old from Tranmere Rovers, and slowly made his way through the youth ranks at Anfield. He scored on his FA Cup debut in the 2023/24 campaign against Southampton, which remains his only appearance for the first-team, before venturing on loan to Stoke City last season, racking up six goals in 49 appearances for the Potters.

However, with first-team minutes evidently becoming hard to come by after the signing of Florian Wirtz, that has seen the Blues made their move to land the 19-year-old attacker to bolster their Championship promotion bid.
Romano posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the youngster has decided to move to St. Andrew's, with an agreement reached and a medical to follow shortly, giving the deal his trademark 'Here We Go' catchphrase.
The Blues have had a solid start to life in the second-tier after a record-breaking promotion from League One last time out, coming within minutes of clinching a win against suspected promotion rivals Ipswich Town on the opening day of the campaign, before an outstanding comeback against Blackburn Rovers last weekend, winning 2-1 to record their first victory of the campaign.
NFL legend Tom Brady owns part of the club, and he has already signed some incredible talents for the Blues this summer - including Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi, former Manchester City youngster Tommy Doyle, club icon Demarai Gray and more to bolster their chances of successive promotions, having been out of the Premier League since 2011.
And the arrival of Koumas is another shrewd addition, once he gets his move to the club, having performed well in what was a struggling Stoke side last season. At a team with more of the ball to work with, he could blossom and have a breakthrough campaign to properly showcase his talents and show that he is capable of mixing it with the likes of Wirtz, Mohamed Salah and more on Merseyside.
