Fenerbahce ready to go all out for Antony by meeting price demands, Man Utd outcast not entirely convinced

After returning to Manchester United from a successful loan spell at Real Betis, Antony is still waiting to secure a move to a new club.

There are just 10 days left in the summer transfer market, with Manchester United hoping to sell some of their unwanted players.

Ruben Amorim enjoyed a positive pre-season with United’s first team after telling five players to stay away from the group as their futures were elsewhere. Since then, Marcus Rashford has joined Barcelona on loan, but the other four players remain.

They include Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia.

Garnacho has reportedly agreed personal terms with Chelsea, Jadon Sancho has rejected offers from across Europe, and Tyrell Malacia’s entourage has downplayed links to Celtic.

Meanwhile, Antony seems to have his heart set on a move to Real Betis, even though they appear unable to meet United’s demands to sign the player on a permanent deal.

Fenerbahce willing to meet £38.9 Antony valuation

In the last 24 hours, Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini spoke out over Antony’s pursuit and admitted they are still hopeful of bringing the Brazilian winger back to the club this season.

Pellegrini said it’s up to United, which felt like an attempt to convince the club to lower their demands for Antony’s signature.

"I've not spoken with Antony. We all know that Antony was very good here, we want him with us, and Antony wants to return no doubt. But we also need the owner, which is Manchester United, to make a decision."

In Brazil, ESPN claims Turkish giants Fenerbahce are willing to go all out for Antony by paying the amount requested: approximately €45 million (£38.9m).

The report adds that Antony, who has been in favour of a move to Real Betis, isn’t entirely convinced about moving his career to Turkey.

Antony is understood to be waiting on offers from other clubs before making his decision, while most parties insist on a loan.

United want to sell Antony on a permanent deal as his contract runs until June 2027.

A move to Fenerbahce would see Antony play under former United manager Jose Mourinho.

Loan inquiries for Antony

The report also outlines that Antony has had interest from several clubs this summer.

It is well documented that Real Betis want to sign the 25-year-old on loan for a second consecutive season, but Antony has also been approached by other European clubs, including Brighton, Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica.

So far, nothing has materialised, meaning he could remain a United player for the foreseeable future.

Hopefully, the Antony situation finds a solution sooner rather than later.
