Casemiro has been at Manchester United for three years, although the support shown by the fans continues to shock the Brazilian veteran.
It has been three years since Casemiro left Real Madrid to join Manchester United.
The Brazil international has not been able to continue competing for the biggest honours, like he did at Real Madrid, but Casemiro has won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup since becoming a United player.
As a serial winner in Madrid, Casemiro won three La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey and the Champions League an incredible five times.
United have been linked with defensive midfielders like Brighton’s Carlos Baleba this summer because Casemiro doesn’t have the legs to play such a demanding role every week. At 33, he still has plenty to offer United, but Ruben Amorim may benefit from managing his minutes throughout the season.
Casemiro is regarded as one of the leaders in Amorim’s dressing room, which is only right as he’s won more trophies at the top level than any of his teammates.

Casemiro reflects on three years at Man Utd
Before instantly becoming a key player in the United dressing room, Casemiro was unveiled at Old Trafford on 22 August 2022.
Casemiro has since gone on to make 126 appearances for United, scoring 17 goals and registering 12 assists, which is an impressive tally for a defensive-minded player in the latter stages of his career.

In a new interview with United Review, as per ManUtd.com, Casemiro reflected on his three years at United and said the fanbase continues to surprise him.
“I feel it [the magic] more every time,” Casemiro said.
“Talking about the last season, it wasn’t so good, compared to what we want, certainly in the Premier League.
“In the Europa League, we were clearly much better, but the fans gave us more. They gave us even more positivity to us. They helped us even more.
“So I sincerely believe that in my career I’ve never seen a support like this. When you’re losing a game, they support you more, they help you more. They surprise me more every day, in every game, both on and off the pitch, in terms of helping us on the pitch when things aren’t going our way.”
Casemiro is already a favourite among United fans, but these comments will go down well with the Old Trafford faithful.
When is Casemiro in action next?
After starting the first game of the season as United lost 1-0 against Arsenal, Casemiro will hope to keep his place in the team when the Red Devils travel to Fulham on Sunday.
United will be looking for their first win of the 2025/26 season, after going the entire pre-season unbeaten against multiple Premier League teams.
Marco Silva’s side left it late last week, as Rodrigo Muniz’s 97th-minute equaliser secured a point with Brighton.
Manuel Ugarte missed out on a starting role against Arsenal and will be desperate for a place back in the team this weekend.
