Desire for Newcastle United to make late striker approach clear – Could be gift-wrapped for right deal

Juventus appear to be hopeful that Newcastle United will make a late move for Dusan Vlahovic and may even gift-wrap the deal for them.

That’s according to [Corriere dello Sport](https://www.corrieredellosport.it/) and Tutto Juve, who both cover the situation today and say Newcastle’s replacement for Alexander Isak could be made readily available.

Juventus want to move Vlahovic on because of his big wage packet but attempts to get him to AC Milan have fallen by the wayside as they’ve signed Victor Boniface.

The Italian side are now hoping for a last-minute surprise and a new bidder to come and get a deal done. They’ve put Vlahovic on the market for €38m, which would help them balance their books.

They have Liverpool and Newcastle in their viewfinder. The latter is more likely, particularly if they sell Isak to the former.

[TuttoJuve](https://www.tuttojuve.com/calciomercato/della-valle-vlahovic-ha-detto-alla-juventus-che-745457), meanwhile, cover comments from Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Fabiana Della Valle, who recently appeared on Radio Sportiva to discuss Vlahovic’s situation at the Italian giants.

_“Well, then I have to say that he doesn’t have any major problems in the locker room because he’s always been very professional in training, and he still is—Tudor said so, by the way,”_ he said.

_“A few days ago, when the fans booed him during the friendly against Next Gen, he’s someone who makes his teammates like him. He was clear with Juventus, both he and his agent._

_“They said they want to earn, and rightly so, the €12m he’s entitled to under his contract in his last season at Juventus._

_“So, he doesn’t want to leave, he wants to stay until his contract expires, and he still has high ambitions. The Premier League, for example, is a destination he’d like, or maybe Spain with Real Madrid.”_

So, then, it appears Newcastle would have work to do to convince the Serbian even if they were to move for him in the final days of the window.

Juventus are certainly hoping that the Magpies will move, perhaps late in the window once they’ve moved on Isak to Liverpool and desperately need a replacement.
