LUIS Sinisterra has joined Cruzeiro on loan from the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/).

There is an obligation to buy in the loan deal with the Brazilian side, as Bournemouth have got another high earner off their wage bill, with Sinisterra previously among the three highest earners at the club.

The initial loan fee is £2million and this could rise to £10m, inclusive of add-ons, which, combined with the fees earned for others including the sale of Jaidon Anthony to Burnley, has helped the Cherries finance their summer business, including the recent signing of Amine Adli.

In total, Sinisterra played 37 times for the Cherries, after he joined the club from Leeds in September 2023, initially on loan.

But that deal was made permanent in February 2024, for a reported fee of £20m.

The Colombian scored four goals for the Cherries, most memorably the winner in the dramatic 3-2 comeback at Everton at the beginning of last season.

But last term was a campaign plagued by injuries for Sinisterra, making 14 appearances in all competitions but for only around 330 minutes.

He started on the opening day at Nottingham Forest, before seven league appearances off the bench, until he picked up a hamstring injury which kept him out until February.

Sinisterra scored the winning penalty in the shootout against Wolves in the FA Cup, but, after coming off the bench against Brentford two weeks later, he was himself replaced after picking up an issue.

That then kept Sinisterra out of action for the remainder of the season, and he has missed much of pre-season for the Cherries.

But the Colombian has now completed a move away from Dean Court and will head to Brazil on loan.
